Frequently Asked Questions
What tax year does this calculator support?
The calculator uses the TRAIN Law tax brackets effective January 1, 2023 and onwards. These rates apply to tax years 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
What is the difference between Graduated and 8% Flat Rate?
Graduated Rates (0-35%): Tax is computed based on brackets. First P250,000 is exempt, then rates increase with higher income.
8% Flat Rate: Available for self-employed and professionals with gross sales/receipts not exceeding P3,000,000. Tax is 8% of gross sales minus P250,000.
What is the P90,000 cap on non-taxable benefits?
Under TRAIN Law, 13th month pay and other benefits are tax-exempt up to P90,000 combined annually. Any amount exceeding this cap is added to your taxable income.
